In the past few weeks I have been bent and stretched out of my comfort zone.
'What doesn't bend, breaks' has been my continual thoughts in the last few weeks.
On the verge of breaking several times, I remind myself that God is sovereign and good.
Each time I release control to God's plan, great things happen.
Things are wrapping up with travel plans and house preparations, the car has been sold, and the house has been rented!

Our travel plans have changed slightly.  The kids and I will leave Allison Saturday evening, and drive to Council Bluffs.  We will then drive to Denver on Sunday and pick up Phil at the airport.  He will then be able to finish the reminder of the trip with us.

Please continue prayer for our family as this week will certainly be filled with many emotions.

And he's off

This morning we all crawled out of bed at 5am, not for free chocolate, but to take dad to the airport.

Off he went to Stockton, California.

The plan is he'll fly back the 31st and then we all drive out together.

We will leave Huxley Sunday morning, September 2nd, drive to Estes Park, sleep there, and then spend most of the next day enjoying the surroundings.  We will finish the day getting a few more hours of driving out of the way before settling in at Grand Junction.  Tuesday will be full of driving till we are almost to Sequoia National Monument.  Our last day on the road will be enjoying the Sequoias and the sights on our way to our temporary home for the next 6 months.

I've never actually been inside the home, but here's a few pictures I do have.

Phil will get to do a walk-through Thursday evening before he gets the keys.  His bed should show up Friday and he'll be set.

When Obi saw the photos, his first question was where will be play kickball??

Ummmmmm.

We will be in a gated community, and lucky for him, and the rest of us, there is a park near by within the community.

I told Phil the green on the back wall made me feel a bit better.
Perhaps with a few potted plants, I'll be settled into our 'backyard'.

I could ramble on and on here, but I really do have a lot of work to get done.  So I'll close it here for the day.
