It's been a while, and we've been staying quite busy.
April 29th Cora had her Junior Prom.
She looked so nice!
Her date was a friend from school, another Junior.
They were elected as the Prince and Princess for the class.
There was an issue in figuring out how they were going to dance; which was quite funny.
The next day we headed to Ocean City to enjoy the kite show, and the nice weather.
Cora would have preferred to sit and home and rest all day. Phil and I didn't think that having to recoup on the beach was all that bad.
There was a beach ball that rolled up next to Cora. Assuming it was the southern wind that blew to to her, she walked down the beach questioning beach goers about ownership of this ball. She walked at least a 1/4 mile before finally giving up and halfway burying it. Phil, Obi, and I laughed so hard during this event I could hardly take a photo.
When you send Obi to get french fries expect to loose a few on the journey.
The next week Phil was in Colorado to support the project there. Cora was busy prepping for her 3 AP tests. Obi was busy with the last full week of baseball. Gavin and Athan were learning more about lacrosse.
On the 3rd Gavin and Athan had a hamster funeral.
They were pretty bummed.
The 6th I met Phil in Philadelphia for a weekend together. We enjoyed a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich at Pat's, a Philly's baseball game, City Hall, the Rocky Statue, and The Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Philadelphia was a bit frustrating to get around on Sunday. The bus system wasn't reliably on schedule, so we spent a lot of time just waiting. It was still good for he and I to have a weekend away.
On the 9th Obi had his last baseball game. They had an undefeated season this year.
This last weekend I was in Iowa for a quick visit. Saturday Phil and the kids went to explore Baltimore's inner harbor.
Here's a video from Gavin.
Sunday they went to the other air and space museum to view the Space Shuttle Discovery, then to the Marine Corps War Memorial, the Pentagon Memorial, and an hour watching planes at Washington Reagan Airport from a nearby park.
Tomorrow we have two lacrosse games. Then Sunday we're heading up to Baltimore for an Oriole's game.
Thanks for reading!
