Today was "what garbage can does that go in" training.
Why, because we have 3!
It's been quite the learning curve for all of us.
There's the green lid can for compost items.  The yellow lid can is for recyclables, and the grey lid for garbage.  To think, it used to just be all garbage.

I'm sure I've put many things in the wrong container already.

We did another trip to Walmart, for it helps break up the day.
Actually before that we got to go eat BBQ and all the fixings at the plant site today with Phil and all the workers.  It was yummy!

We purchased two potted plants for outside.  One was a mum; it makes me think of Iowa.  :)

Obi and I planted some cucumber and lettuce seeds in our 'back yard garden' today.  I have no idea what, when, or how things will grow out here, but it's fun to try.  I'll be sure to add of picture of our first salads.  I also purchased some tulips bulbs.  I'm assuming that since they are selling them here, they must grow.

Perhaps I should do some more research before going to the store again.

I'm not sure how we'll spend our first weekend in CA.  Phil did bring home his monitor from the office and connected it to the cable receiver, so we may spend some time cheering for the Cyclones!
We'll probably also introduce the kids to the Pacific as well!!

  1. When we first moved to Huxley we had a lot of recycling containers. I had a time trying to figure out where I was supposed to take our recycling. :) too funny.
